The Dare Davil Dr Raman Singh from Rajnandgaon

In Chhattisgarh Election 2008 the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh is to fight election from Rajnandgaon as per the list released by BJP Bhartiya Janata Party for Chhattisgarh.

 

The Dare Davil Act – Rajnandgaon a prominent district situated at Nationa Highway 6, The GE Road Great Eastern Road has just seen the victory of opposition Congress Party some one and half year back.  The Congress candidate and sitting MLA Devwrat Singh dfeated  Leelaram Bhojwani, the BJP candidate and former minister in an undivided Madhya Pradesh in Loksabha by-election. Devwrat Singh 3,45,009 votes and Bhojwani mustered 2,93,395 votes clearly indicated the anger of Rajnandgaon voters. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh accepeted the defeat and  said at that time, the "cash-for-question" scandal is reason for loss. The Memebr of Parliament Pradeep Gandhi was disqualified from Lok Sabha due to sting operation Duryodhan. It all happenend in the Loksabha constituency Rajnandgaon which includes the Rajnandgaon Assembly Constituency the current election arena for Dr Raman Singh with a popular neat and clean image.

 

Dr Raman Singh Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh State did his schooling at Rajnandgaon which is now battle field for his second innings in Chhattisgarh Politics. Born on October 15, 1952, in the family of a farmer, Dr. Raman Singh was destined to be the first elected Chief Minister of the newly born State of Chhattisgarh. Dr. Raman Singh's schooling took place in Chhuyikhadan, Kawardha and Rajnandgaon. In 1971-72, he studied at the Government Science College, Bemetara, for his Bachelor of Science degree. Subsequently in 1975, he was awarded a degree in Ayurvedic Medicine, BAMS, from the Government Ayurvedic College at Raipur.
